Partial Die Cutting with Coordinating Dies

Happy New Year, crafty friends. I’m sharing a card featuring partial die cutting using coordinating dies to kick off the new year….

To create this card, I started by stamping THESE images and coloring them wit Copic Markers. I used THESE coordinating dies to cut out the main donut image and used the large image coordinating die to do some partial die cutting. I made sure that the portion of the die that I didn’t want to cut was hanging out of the top plate so it wouldn’t cut all the way. This way, I could have a partial die cut border along the bottom of the flap. Here’s a closer look…

I applied a mask over the main donut image so I could apply ink over it through THESE sprinkle layering stencils. I adhered the critter donut image on top with one of THESE action wobblers so it will wiggle and dance. I adhered a piece of THIS patterned paper along the bottom of the inside of the card and stamped a sentiment on top.

I also stamped the flap of the envelope with another image from the same stamp set to tie it all together…

Thanks for stopping by. Happy crafting!
