Jolly St. Nick Gift Card Holders

Hello again, crafty friends. Today’s cards hold a gift card. I had so much fun creating these cards with some new Concord & 9th products. These will be going to my son’s teachers this year for the Holidays…
To create these cards. I started by applying ink through THIS stripe stencil. After applying the ink through one side of the stencil, I flipped it over and applied ink through the other side to create a plaid background. Next, I die cut THIS Santa die ten times from white cardstock. I stenciled the santa face on five of the die cuts using THESE stencils. Next, I scored a line on each of the plain santa die cuts on the left hand side. I wanted to create a hinge for the santa face to open up. I added adhesive only outside of that score line and adhered the stenciled santa face on top of that. I applied glue to the front of the back plain Santa piece and adhered it to the back of the plaid stenciled background to create an opening to hide a gift card like this…

I finished the cards by stamping and white heat embossing THIS sentiment vertically by Santa’s beard. I also stamped sentiments from that same stamp set on the envelope flaps to tie everything together. Remember, the Santa die hangs off the card so you will need to trim your card base down to fit in an A2 sized envelope. Another option is you could leave it on an A2 panel and put in a larger envelope like A7.

A bundle of the products are available HERE.

I hope this inspires you to create a clever way to present a git card using your dies.
