Hey, crafty friends. Today’s card features THIS STAMPtember collaboration stamp set from Doodlebug…
To create this card, I stamped the images of THIS stamp repeatedly to fill a white A2 panel of cardstock. I colored it in with Copic Makers and white heat embossed a sentiment form the same stamp set on a black rectangle die cut. I added glossy accents to some of the details of the stamped images to make hem stand out. I rounded all four corners of the card.

I also stamped the Santa image from the set on the flap of a red envelope to tie everything together…

Love this Doodlebug STAMPtember collaboration — the layered textures are stunning! Stamping and mixed-media crafts have such a unique visual language. I’ve been experimenting with AI image tools to sketch out layout ideas before committing to paper, which has saved a lot of expensive card stock from prototype mistakes.

The white heat-embossed sentiment on the black cardstock is such a nice contrast against the Copic-colored stamped images, and rounding all four corners was a smart finishing touch. Glossy accents on the details is a trick I don’t use enough myself — might have to steal that for my next STAMPtember card.

The glossy accents on the stamped details is a nice finishing touch that a lot of stamped cards skip — it’s a small step but it really does make the ink sit differently under light. Repeating the stamp across the whole A2 panel instead of using it as a single focal image is a good way to get more mileage out of one stamp set too.

Stamping the same image repeatedly to fill the whole A2 panel is such a good way to get texture without needing a dozen different stamp sets, and the glossy accents on the stamped details is a touch most people skip. Coloring with Copic markers over white heat embossing takes real patience to keep edges that clean. I’ve been prototyping card layouts in Image2Image before committing ink to cardstock – a good way to test color combos like yours without wasting a panel.

The white heat embossing on black cardstock is such a clean contrast choice — I never would have thought to round all four corners until I saw it here, it really softens the whole card. Stamping the Santa image onto the envelope flap is a clever way to tie the mailing piece into the project instead of treating it as an afterthought. I tried recording my own stamping process with Kling 3.5 for a craft swap reel recently, and the ink layering only became obvious once I watched it back in slow motion.
