Hi, crafty friends. My son started back to school today so I thought I would share a fun back to school shaped card…
To create this card, I die cut all the pieces from THIS die from colored cardstock and specialty cardstock. Since the bus is large, I wanted to create a shaped card so I cut one from yellow cardstock and one from heavy weight white cardstock. At the top of the white cardstock bus, there is a detail line. I used that line and scored there. This creates a hinge for the card to open. I added liquid glue above that line and laid the yellow die cut on top to create a card base.

I adhered the die cut pieces on top of the yellow die cut. I wanted to add details that would pop. I used THIS black glossy cardstock for the tires. I blended some blue ink to the white die cuts for the window. I added THIS to the lights for some shine. I finished off the card with THESE sentiment strips.

I also stamped the alphabet on the envelope from THIS stamp set…
I hope this inspired you to create a shaped die cut card.
Thanks for visiting. Have a great day.
