Hello, crafty friends. THIS Create Together class is happening today with Heidi Crowl and Cathy Zielske. I wanted to share a card I created using some of the same products they are featuring in class. These products are so well designed.

To create this card, I started by stamping THIS background with light blue ink on an A2 sized piece of blue cardstock. Next, I applied Distress Oxide Inks through THESE layering stencils on top of the stamping. I cut the cardstock piece in half and adhered them to the flaps of a gatefold card. To create a gatefold card, you start with a piece of cardstock measuring 5.5 inches by 8.5 inches. Score at 2 1/8 inch from each end and fold those panels in.
I stamped the sentiment from THIS stamp set and used THIS coordinating die to cut it out. I also applied the same inks through THESE stencils and used THIS coordinating die to cut it out. I cut a few extra pieces of each die from white cardstock to adhere behind for dimension.

Since this is a gatefold card, it’s important to adhere the pieces on the front on just one side of the die cut only. If you do both sides, you will adhere the card close. So, for this card, I adhered the left side only to the image on top and adhered the right side of the sentiment below. This gives it a unique opening…

I rounded all four corners to finish off the design. Here’s a closer look…

I also stamped the flap of the envelope with the same background stamp…

HERE is the free class I was talking about earlier in this post featuring these products…
