Moments in Time Release Blog Hop

Hi there, crafty friends. I have two cards to share today as part of THIS Blog Hop featuring products from THIS new release…

To create these cards, I started with the background. I masked off a section of an A2 panel of white cardstock and blended three colors of Distress Oxide Ink. For the bee card, I blended Picked Raspberry, Wild Honey, and Squeezed Lemonade. For the second card, I blended Evergreen Bough, Peacock Feathers, and Wilted Violet. I spritzed each piece with THIS shimmer spray before removing the masks for some extra sparkle and shine. Next, I used THIS and THIS stencil with one of THESE embossing mats in my die cut machine to make an impression in the background. (You can see this  added texture better in the photos below.) I adhered the backgrounds to a side folding note card and rounded all four corners.

For the first card…

I stamped THESE bee images and colored them with Copic Markers. I also stamped a sentiment from the same stamp set and used THESE coordinating dies to cut everything out. I adhered the images down and used one of THESE action wobblers to add behind the bee with balloons image to resemble it flying. You can see it in action here.

I finished off the design with some of THIS for the wings and some of THIS for some shine. I also added a sprinkling of THESE die cut hearts.

I applied ink through THIS stencil on the flap of the envelope to tie everything together…
For the second card…

I stamped THESE dragon images and colored them with Copic Markers. I also stamped a sentiment from the same stamp set and used THESE coordinating dies to cut everything out. I did not use an action wobbler on this card because the image size didn’t work with the wobbler size. I adhered it directly to the card background.

I finihsed off the card with a sprinkling of THESE star die cuts and the same sparkle and shine as the first card…

I embossed the envelope flap with the same star stencil and then applied ink through the stencil to make the stars stand out…
I hope this inspires you to try creating multiple cards with a similar design but using different images.

There’s much more inspiration to see…

Adorable and fun cards–I love your critter cards with the strip of ink blending, so perfect! I will take this hint to only ink blend a bit of the card vs the entire card. It’s awesome!
