Hi, crafty friends. I haven’t created an acetate card in a bit so I thought today’s features stamp set would be a perfect fit for one…
To create this card, I stared by embossing the front of THIS acetate card base with THIS embossing folder to create “bubbles”. Next, I stamped and Copic colored THESE images and cut them out using THESE coordinating die cuts. Next, I ink blended the front of a top folding blue notecard with blue Distress Oxide inks to create an ombre ocean water scene, spritzed it with THIS, and adhered it inside of the acetate card. I tore a piece of kraft cardstock and adhered it along the bottom to resemble sand. I adhered some of the colored images to scene on the front of the card and some to the inside on the blue inked card.
I adhered the pieces on the acetate with strong double sided tape. I also cut another of the coordinating die shape to go behind to cover up the acetate on the inside front flap of the card. I did the same with the back of the acetate card. I cut a piece to cover the adhesive you see from adhering the blue card on the inside.
I also stamped the flap of the envelope with another whale image from the same stamp set to tie everything together…
I hope this inspires you to add some acetate to your next card project.
Thanks for joining me today. Happy crafting!
