Hi, crafty friends. I recently shared THIS St. Patrick’s Day gift idea. I wanted to share another gift idea but this time it’s all abouttstamping on a gift bag…
To create this bag, I started with a plain white gift bag. It didn’t fit in my MISTI and even if it did, I couldn’t stamp on it evenly because the handles add too much dimension. So, I decided to stamp the clovers from THIS stamp set with an acrylic block using three shades of green Distress ink. I knew I wouldn’t be able to get a perfect impression so I went more for a distressed look and lightly spritzed each one with water. Emphasis on light spritz because the gift bag is light and the material will not take water well. I dried it with my heat gun and then flicked some of THIS gold watercolor on with a paintbrush.
I finished off the bag design by die cutting THIS die cut word from THIS and THIS cardstock.
I hope this inspires you to try incorporating stamping on your gift packaging.
Thank you for joining me today. Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
