Rain or Shine Release Blog Hop-Day 2

Hello, crafty friends. I have a Thank You Card Set to share today as part of THIS Blog Hop celebrating THIS new release…
I created a note card set using an inlaid die cut technique. To create these cards, I started with five colors of cardstock and a cover panel die. I chose Concord & 9th cardtock in the colors of Pink Lemonade, Honeysuckle, Clementine, Sea Glass, and Juniper.

I cut five A2 sized panels of  those cardstock colors and used THIS die to cut out a background pattern. Next, I covered the front of an A2 top folding card with THIS adhesive paper so the entire front was sticky. I started with one of the main positive pieces of a panel and adhered it down. I then inlaid different colors of the pattern inside the openings.

You could do a pattern but I decided to place them in randomly until the entire background was filled in. I repeated the process until all five cards were complete. The great thing about this inlaid technique with a cover plate is that you can do this with any cardstocks and cover plate. Just choose how many cards you want to create, cut those panels, and start inlaying the pieces. It’s a great way to make a set of cards.
For the sentiments, I die cut THIS thanks die from the same color of cardstocks and the shadow die from white cardstock. I adhered them down to apiece of vellum and stamped a sub sentiment underneath using the same colors of cardstocks and inks from THIS stamp set.

I embossed the flap of the envelopes with THIS embossing folder which had the same design feel as the cover die pattern…
Here’s a closer look…

I hope this inspires you to create a note card set using this inlaid technique with a cover plate die.

There’s much more inspiration to see…
