Hi, crafty friends. Today’s card is a bit different than my usual bold and bright designs. I decided to try out THESE pastel inks and create a softer look on today’s cards and I love the look they give…
To create these cards, I started by applying the pastel inks through THESE layering stencils on a 6×6 piece of white cardstock. Next, I stamped THIS coordinating background stamp on top with gray ink. I cut down the panel so I would have two panels at 2.5 inches wide. Next, I stamped the same background stamp on a piece of yellow and green A2 sized cardstock. I adhered the stenciled pieces on top and added a thin gray strip to each side.
I finished off the design by adding sentiments from THIS stamp set and cut them out with THESE coordinating dies. This stamp set is my all time favorite sentiment stamp set. I feel like the font would work for any style of I stamped the sentiments in gray to continue the softer look of the pastels. I also added some of THESE die cut hearts…
I wanted to mention that I used THIS banner die set to cut out the sub sentiments and it has become my favorite set for cutting out sentiments. So many great sizes and shapes.
I also stamped on the flap of the envelopes with the same background stamp to tie everything together…
I hope this inspires you to create a larger piece when stamping or stenciling a background and cut it down to make multiple cards.
Thank you so much for stopping by today. Happy crafting!
