Have Yourself a Cheesy Little Christmas Cards

Hello, crafty friends. I’m always looking for fun ways to present gift cards as gifts. Today’s cards feature a fun way to include a gift card in your card design…

I created these cards for Aiden’s teachers. I got them pizza gift cards and thought THIS stamp set would be perfect for the pizza theme. To create these cards, I started by embossing the front of the white notecards with THIS embossing folder. I adhered the white note cards inside of one of THESE clear acetate cards using THIS strong tape. Next, I created the stockings by cutting THIS die from THIS patterned paper. I stamped THIS sentiment on the stocking and adhered the stocking on top of the white note card.

On top of the acetate, I adhered the mice and tree images from THIS stamp and die set. I colored them with THESE stencils using ink and adding some shading with Copic Markers. I added some of THIS on top of the tree’s star to make it sparkle. I added these pieces on top so that the gift card can be slipped under the acetate in the stocking and the die cuts not interfere.

Here’s a closer look at each card…

When you lift the acetate, the recipient can remove the gift card…

I cut extra white die cuts of the stamped images to glue behind the images on the inside of the acetate to hide the glue…

I also adhered a white panel on the back of the acetate card to hide the acetate where I adhered the white card on the inside…

Here is how the cards look with the gift card removed..

I hope this has inspired you to create a card that holds a gift card.

Have a great day. Happy crafting!
