Hi there, crafty friends. Today’s shaped cards were created just for fun and they feature ways you can personalize them for the recipient…
To create these cards, I die cut THIS die from colored cardstock. I love how easy this die is to assemble and the product packaging does a great job explaining where to place all the die cuts. I created three different cabinets.
I turned all of them into shaped cards by cutting the large die with a folded note card, leaving a bit of the die’s cutting line hanging off the top to create a hinged note card. I created the folded note card using a lighter weight cardstock. This way it will cut through both layers.
The first one is a typical kitchen cabinet. I customized it for my niece for a housewarming card. She likes earth tones so I thought of her when choosing the colors. I placed dish die cuts inside and the mixer, canisters, and rolling pin on the counter. I cut the backsplash out of THIS woodgrain paper for added texture…
Here’s a closer look at inside of the cabinets…
For the second cabinet, I created a crafty cabinet. I send a lot of my cards to crafty friends so I know any of them would love to receive a craft cabinet. I used an older Simon Says Stamp set called Crafty Bunnies because it has a lot of small crafty items that I thought would be perfect to place inside the cabinets.
The last cabinet is a crafty cabinet as well. I customized it for Melissa who is the owner of HoneyBee stamps. I stamped small bee images and used them as door knobs and added hexagon/bee hive stenciling to the backsplash.
There is also add ons available to decorate your cabinet. I’ve linked them below and you can find them HERE, HERE, and HERE.
I hope this has inspired you to create a shaped card for your next project and to personalize it for the recipient.
Thanks for stopping by. Happy crafting!
