Textured Background with Distress Embossing Glaze

Hello there, crafty friends. Today’s card features a background with lots of texture thanks to Embossing Glazes and stencils…

To create this card, I started by applying Orange, Yellow, Teal, and Brown ink through an older stencil in my crafty stash (it’s the Autumn Wreath stencil from SSS). Once dry, I applied THIS clear ink on top of the inking I just did. Next I applied the coordinating color of Embossing Glaze on top and heat embossed to add lots of shine. Then I ink blended the same colors over the whole panel. The heat embossing resisted the colors on the leaves and just added color to the background.

I wanted to add eve more texture so I dry embossed THIS stencil on top of the background using THIS embossing mat in my die cut machine. I love the results…

To finish off the card, I added THIS die cut sentiment, a sentiment from THIS stamp set, and a few of  THESE hearts cut from THIS gold cardstock…

I embossed THIS die on the flap of the envelope to tie everything together…

Thanks so much for joining me today. Happy crafting!
