Hello, crafty friends. I have a spooky slimline card to share today featuring new products from Hero Arts…
To create this card, I started with the background. I cut a piece of THIS cardstock to slimline size — and applied THIS Glow-in-the-dark lacquer pen liquid through THIS stencil. I did this at the top of the card, let it dry, and then repeated the process on the bottom of the card. I ink blended THIS Grape Juice ink around the edges to add some contrast.
Next, I created the bats. I started by applying THIS glitter paste on a piece of THIS black cardstock. After it was completely dry, I die cut THESE Bat Infinity dies from it. This is a great way to create your own sparkle cardstock. I adhered the bats on top of the background using foam squares only in the middle of their bodies. This way I could lift the wings up to resemble them flying. I finished off the design by white heat embossing a sentiment from THIS Halloween Messages stamp set. I cut it using one of THESE dies.
Check out how bright the background glows in the dark…
I hope this inspires you to try using different mediums with your stencils and die cuts.
Thanks so much for joining me today. Happy crafting!
