Gift Giving Cards

Howdy, crafty friends. I’m always looking for ways to dress up giving gift cards or money. Today’s cards do just that and I used some Lawn Fawn products that I’ve been wanting to use for some time along with my favorite sliding window die…

To create these cards, I cut pieces of THIS and THIS patterned paper and die cut them with THIS sliding window die. To create the pull piece, I cut a white panel of card stock to 3.25 x 5 inches. I adhered the white panel to the back of the embossed panel at the bottom crease line only using THIS strong adhesive. You don’t want to glue anywhere else or you will not be able to slide the card open. I adhered the piece on to a note card covered with more patterned paper using THIS foam adhesive. The card seems to slide better when there is dimension in between.

For the first card…
I stamped the images from THIS and THIS stamp set, colored them with Copic Markers, used THESE and THESE coordinating dies and adhered them to the sliding panel. I stamped a coordinating sentiment from the same stamp set along the bottom and added a gold coin to the top pull piece. I also stamped the flap of the coordinating envelope with an older background stamp (Circle Pattern by Simon Says Stamp) since it reminded me of the gold coins.

When the recipient pulls the pull tab, money is revealed…

For the second card…

I stamped the images from THIS and THIS stamp set, colored them with Copic Markers, used THESE coordinating dies and adhered them to the sliding panel. I stamped one of the strawberries with a pull sentient from THIS stamp set and added it to the top of the slider piece. I embossed the flap of the coordinating envelope using THIS embossing folder. I added THIS to the top of the stawberries and lid to make it shine.

When the recipient pulls the tab, it reveals an ice cream gift card…

For the last card…

I stamped the images from THIS and THIS stamp set on THIS patterned paper, and used THESE and THESE coordinating dies and adhered them to the sliding panel. I added some of THIS woodgrain cardstock along the bottom of the jar to resemble sand. I stamped the coordinating envelope with THIS background stamp.

When the recipient pulls the tab, a gift car is revealed…

I used gift cards or money for the inside of the reveal portion, but you can also just add additional stamped images.

I hope this inspires you to create a gift card holder card.

Thanks for visiting today. Happy crafting!
