Gatefold Margarita Card

Hi, crafty friends. I have a bright and bold gatefold card to share today…

To create this card, I started by stamping the margarita image and sentiment from THIS stamp set. I colored in the Margarita image and used THESE coordinating dies to cut it out. Next, I created a gatefold card base. To create a gatefold card base, I cut a piece of 8.5 x 11 piece of cardstock in half and scored each end at 2.25 inches. I embossed a piece of pink cardstock with THIS embossing folder and cut the piece in half. I adhered the two pieces on the front flaps of the gatefold card. I love the added texture the embossing gives.

When adhering down the drink image, I only applied adhesive on the right hand side. I did the opposite with the sentiment and applied adhesive only on the left hand side. This is how the card opens….

I added some tiny diamond embellishments to the margarita glass around the rim to resemble salt. I also added a strip of silver cardstock along the bottom of the sentiment to give it a finished look.

For the inside…

I stamped a few more sentiments from the stamp set to tie everything together.

I hope this inspires you to create a gatefold card.

Thank you so much for visiting today. Happy crafting!
