Scrappy Tails Gingerbread House

Hello, crafty friends. I’m excited to be taking part in THIS instagram hop celebrating new products form Scrappy Tail Crafts.

I have a fun, interactive 3D Gingerbread House card to share today…

I started by cutting the main house portion using THIS die set from kraft card stock. I cut the roof from kraft cardstock as well and blended on top with a brown for a darker look. I trimmed off the scalloped edge of the roof edge. I die-cut all the pieces from THIS die and decorated the gingerbread house with them.

I used specialty cardstock to die-cut several of the pieces. I used THIS glossy cardstock for the “icing” pieces and glitter cardstock for the candy. After the pieces were decorated, I adhered the pieces together to construct the house.

I added THIS die-cut word to the roof with THIS sentiment strip.

For the back of the house…

I left it mostly blank so I could have a space to write a message to the recipient.

I love that this card folds flat and fits in a 5×7 envelope. You can see it in action over on Instagram HERE (Swipe to see).

I hope this has inspired you to create an interactive card. They are so fun to make!

I am looking for information on the two cards you made with lumber Jack plaid. Same pattern 2 different inks. Is the darker card made with the ink not the oxide ink. I love the darker card
