New Distress Color: Lumberjack Plaid

Hello again, crafty friends. Today’s card feature the new Distress Color. Say hello to Lumberjack Plaid

The new color of Distress comes in a variety of mediums but today’s cards focused on the inks.
Lumberjack Plaid is such a gorgeous red and I wanted to show you the side by side comparison of the Distress Ink (on the left) vs. the Distress Oxide Ink (on the right). To create the backgrounds, I applied the ink directly to the paper, coating it. I then stamped each one with a background stamp. I did not ink up the background stamp. Just spritzed on some water on the background stamp before stamping.

It is hard to photograph but almost gives a velvet look. die-cut it with THIS die and added some gold cardstock behind the openings…

I spritzed some shimmer spritz on the background stamp on the second card for some sparkle on the pattern…

Instead of adding some specialty cardstock behind the die opening, I cut the same die with silver cardstock and inlaid the letters into place.

You can see more information about the new ink HERE.

Thank you so much for joining me today. Happy crafting!
