Hello, crafty friends. I’m excited to be part of THIS Blog Hop celebrating THIS new release. I have two cards to share featuring THIS new stamp set…
I started by creating the background with the Sunburst Die. I die-cut it three times from cardstock and once from vellum. I adhered them all together with the vellum piece on top. I applied yellow and orange ink on top of the vellum and made an impression on to a panel of Distress Watercolor cardstock using an embossing mat in my die-cut machine. I was inspired to try this technique from Day 7 of THIS Spring Card Camp 2022 class from Online Card Classes.
Next, I stamped the sunglasses images from the Groovy Days stamp set using Distress Oxide ink and clear heat embossed them for some shine. For the pink glasses, I used the die to cut them out. In the lense openings, I added some stamped circles. I stamped the palm tree image from the stamp set on holographic cardstock using black ink.
For the teal glasses, I stamped the rainbow image and colored it in with Copic. I added sentiment strips from the Reverse Chill Summer Sentiment strips pack.
I finished off the cards by adding crystal glaze to the teal glasses for some shine and adhering both panels to a black top folding note card.
