Hot Foiling on Alcohol Inked Panels

Hi there, crafty friends. Today’s cards feature hot foiling on alcohol inked panels…

I started by creating the alcohol ink backgrounds. I applied rubbing alcohol on Yupo paper and then dropped on different shades of pink, red, and orange alcohol inks. After the panel was covered with ink, I applied rubbing alcohol to another piece of Yupo paper and laid it on top of the first inked panel. I slid them apart creating a second print. I love the movement it gives to the backgrounds…

Once the panels were completely dry, I hot foiled the Dancing Butterflies Hot Foil plate using gold hot foil. I used the embossing mat in my die-cut machine with the coordinating die to give a subtle outline to the butterflies. The embossing mat allows the die to make an impression around the image instead of cutting it out…

I also added gold foiled sentiments from the Mini Everyday Sentiments Hot Foil plates. I used the banner dies included in the set to cut them out.

Here’s a closer look at the rest of the panels…

I hope this inspires you to try hot foiling on alcohol inked panels.

Thank you for spending some time here today. Have a great day!
