Stenciled + Foiled Sentiment Background

Hi, crafty friends. Today’s card shares a different use for the Sentiment Strips Panels…

I’m a big fan of the pre printed sentiments from Simon Says Stamp. They are intended to cut apart and use the sentiments individually, but I decided to keep the panel whole and use as a background. They are printed with toner ink which means they are compatible with foiling.

I laid a strip of purple foil on top of the Happy Easter! sentiment because I want that sentiment to be the focal point and covered the rest of the panel with pink foil. I ran it through my laminator to apply the foil. Next, I applied ink through two of the heart mask stencils. I stamped and colored the bunnies from the Hoppy Days Ahead stamp set and used the coordinating die to cut them out. I added them to the panel along with a heart cut from the Mini Hearts Party die. I added crystal glaze on top of the heart for some shine and rounded the two bottom corners of the card.

Here’s a closer look at the shine the foil gives…

I also created a gray envelope using the A2 V Flap Envelope die. I stamped the same sentiment on the flap to tie everything together…

I hope this inspires you to use the pre printed sentiment sheets as a background.

Thanks so much for joining me today. Happy crafting!
