Tim Holtz Distress Embossing Glaze

Hi there, crafty friends. I’m back with a slimline card featuring the Distress Embossing Glazes from Tim Holtz…

These embossing glazes are translucent, not opaque like many other embossing powders. I like that they come in the Distress Ink color line and they are great for layering.

To create today’s project, I masked off grouping of the hearts on the Fading Hearts Slimline Stencil and applied the matching color of Distress Oxide ink through the stencil. I sprinkled on the coordinating embossing glaze on top and heat set. I moved on to the next color in the rainbow and repeated the process.

After all of the embossing was done, I used the same Distress oxide inks and ink blended on top of the pattern. Since we did heat embossing, the hearts resist the color. I finished of the design by adding the Basic Box Card Love You So Much die-cut and rounding all four corners of the card.

I just love the shine the glaze gives…

Also, something to note, I flipped over the stencil before applying the ink to get a whole new look from the stencil. It’s a great way too stretch the use of your supplies.

Thank you so much for stopping by. Happy crafting!
