Shaker Pouch Card

Howdy, crafty friends. I finally got my hands on some shaker pouches and I created a card using one…

I started by creating the background piece that goes in the shaker pouch. I started with a piece of Doll Pink Cardstock and stenciled on the hearts from the Polka Hearts stencil. Next, I ran it through my die-cut machine inside the Geometric Lattice embossing folder to add lots of texture. It’s hard to see in the photo, but gives a cool effect in real life. I placed the piece inside the shaker pouch and adhered the two sides and bottom strips of adhesive to the back of the Cardstock piece, leaving the top open. I added some Sweetheart sequins inside and then sealed up the shaker pouch at the top. I adhered the entire shaker pouch to a 5×7 white card base and added  the Love You die-cut that I cut from gold foil cardstock and black. I also added the dog and cat image from the Pawsome Love stamp set on top of the die-cut sentiment. I finished off the design by adding a pre printed sentiment strip along the bottom.

Here’s a closer look..

The shaker pouches make it incredibly easy to create shaker cards. The sequins inside shake freely..

I hope this inspires you to create a shaker card using a shaker pouch.
