Hello, crafty friends. I’m so honored to be a part of THIS Blog Hop celebrating THIS new Diecember release.
I have two card examples to share today featuring a fun repeating and layering die-cut technique.
For the first card…
I die-cut the Circle Rings Medallion die nine times from navy cardstock. I started in the middle and adhered two next to each other to fill in the center section. I built upon that and adhered two on top and two on the bottom, filling up the entire panel. With the three die-cut pieces left over, I adhered one on the top left, middle right, and bottom left (forming a triangle). I added that extra layer of dimension because it really catches the eye. You could just do one layer or lots more. Totally your choice. Here’s a closer look at the dimension…
I finished up the card by adding the Dancing Snowflakes die-cut along with a sentiment from the Good Cheer stamp set. I used the coordinating die to cut out the sentiment and added a few sequins.
For the second card…
I did the same process but used the Refracted Medallion die for the background and added the Pivet Branch die on top. I used the same sentiment.
For both cards, I used the focal point die and dry embossed it on the envelope flap using an embossing mat with my die-cut machine. It’s a great way to stretch the use of your dies.
