Thankful For You

Happy Thanksgiving, crafty friends! I have a shaped card to share today. I love creating these as they are unique and unexpected.

To create this card, I stamped the wreath image from the Thankful Wreath Stamp set using black ink on white cardstock. I used the coordinating die to cut it out (the coordinating dies will be released soon!) and colored the entire image using Copic Makers. I used the coordinating die to cut out three more wreath images from cream cardstock. I adhered one behind the colored piece for added stability and then adhered the remaining two together to create the back panel of the card. I scored the top of the back panel piece to create a hinge and applied glue above the crease line only to allow the card to open freely.

Here’s a closer look at the inside of the card…

I adhered a Thankful For You die-cut across the center of the wreath and a bow to the top. I finished off the card with some crystal glaze to the berries and acorn tops for some shine…

The card measures 5×5 in size and I needed a square envelope. I didn’t have one so I created it with a piece of blue cardstock and my 123 Punch Board. I stamped the wreath image on the front of the envelope with a dark blue ink. The center of the wreath image is a perfect spot to write the recipient’s address…

I hope this inspires you to create a shaped card.

Thank you so much for stopping by. I’m thankful for you! Happy Thanksgiving!
