Snowflake Cluster Stencil Cards

Hi there, crafty friends. Today’s cards were created by stretching one technique to create multiple cards…

For the first two cards, I sprayed Distress Spray Stain and a Distress Mica Stain through the Snowflake Cluster stencil to create the backgrounds.

On the first card, I didn’t sprayed farther away and sprayed a bit of water on top to get a bit of a softer look…

For the second card, I used the same sprays but sprayed closer to the stencil and sprayed it heavily to get more of an intense look…

I was going for an artsy look, but if you wanted a more clean look, I would spray lightly from farther away. I die-cut the — Snowflakes from White Gloss Paper as well as Matte Silver Cardstock and adhered them to vellum circles. I finished off the design with sentiment strips and some Bubble Blow Out embellishments.

For the next card, I didn’t want to waste the ink the was on the stencil, so I stamped with it. I flipped it over and pressed the ink on a white A2 panel. After it was dry, I applied ink through the Peace Joy Hope Love Stencil on top.

I die-cut the Aurora die using the cardstock that had leftover spray stain on it. I adhered it to a vellum circle and added a sentiment strip and embellishents like the first two cards.

For the final card…

I created a background by stamping off the stencil each time I applied the spray stain. Initially, I wasn’t going to use this piece, I was just using it to clean off the stencil. However, after I was done with the cards, I thought it had a beautiful texture. I cut it down and cut it into fourths. I added the Merry and Bright sentiment and a few snowflakes from the die set.

I hope this inspires you to think outside the box on your next project and stretch the technique to create multiple cards.

Thank you so much for joining me today. Happy crafting!
