Case Me A Christmas Card with Michelle Lupton

Hi, crafty friends. I am very honored to be teaming up with my friend Michelle Lupton today. She is CASEing one of my cards and I am CASEing one of hers for her Holiday Card Series.

I love Michelle’s style and it was hard to choose just one card to case but I ended up CASEing THIS card of hers…

I love that she added the focal points to a strip of ink blending. For my card, instead of ink blending, I created a rainbow strip using alcohol ink…

To create that strip, I applied a rainbow of Alcohol inks to a piece of Yupo paper and spritzed on some rubbing alcohol to create texture. I cut the piece in half to create a long strip. I added the strip to the center of a mini slimline card base and added thin strips of black card stock to each side for a more finished look. I stamped and Copic colored the images from the Lots of Christmas Cheer stamp set and used the coordinating die to cut it out. I adhered it to the card, stamped a coordinating sentiment, and added a few snowflakes.

Here’s a closer look…

Thank you for stopping by. Be sure to check out Michelle’s card that she created using one of my cards as inspiration HERE.
