STAMPtember 2021 Party

Hello, crafty friends. Happy STAMPtember! I’m excited to be part of THIS party celebrating THIS new STAMPtember release from Simon Says Stamp. I have three Holiday Gift Card Holders to share today…

I give a lot of gift cards out during the Holiday Season and always try to make them a little more personal by incorporating the gift card into the design of the card. Today, I’m sharing three different ways to do that using dies…

#1 REVEAL WINDOW

To create this card, I die-cut the Surprise Reveal Window die from a panel stamped with the Hand-Lettered Holiday Background Stamp. I added images from the Gift Wrap Stamp Set as well as a gold heat embossed sentiment from the Merry Christmas Trees Stamp Set. I finished the design with a gold frame die-cut using the A2 Thin Frames Die.

When the recipient lifts the flap, a gift card is revealed…

You don’t have to put a gift card on the inside. A stamped sentiment or even a photo would work too.

#2 SLIDING WINDOW

For this card, I used my all time favorite interactive die (Sliding Window die) and die-cut it from a panel stamped with the O Christmas Tree Background Stamp. I adhered a black piece behind the sliding window along the bottom edge. I white heat embossed trees from the Merry Christmas Trees Stamp Set and used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I adhered them along the bottom portion of the sliding window. Make sure to not apply glue above the center line of the sliding window. I stamped a sentiment on a strip along the bottom of the window from the same stamp set. I white heat embossed the “PULL” from the Push Here Stamp set along the top of the black piece. I adhered the entire panel down to a top folding white note card using foam tape along the sides. This gives a bit more room for the gift card inside.

When the recipient lifts the flap, a gift card is revealed and the images stand up…

#3 POCKET

I started by die-cutting the Gift Card Pocket Die from kraft card stock. I stamped it using the Ornamental Background Stamp and Versamark ink. I stamped the same background using Tumbled Glass Distress Ink on Sea Glass Cardstock. I die-cut it using the Stitched Rectangles Die and adhered it to a top folding white note card. I adhered the pocket on top and added the die-cut Peace Love Hope Joy word on top using Red Holographic cardstock. I finished off the design with some snowflakes cut from the Sparkling Snowflakes Breeze Die.

The recipient can pull out the gift card easily from the pocket…

You can always add something to the top of the gift card that tells the recipient to “pull here” but I like to just add a note to the inside of the card as a reminder.

I hope that inspires you to create some interactive gift card holders and make those gift card a bit more special.

Wonderful surprise inside type creations. Definitely cannot go wrong with gift cards inside; especially Starbucks where I have been enjoying the Pumpkin Spice Lattes & Frappes.
