Shaped Card Using Dies

Hi, crafty friends. I have a shaped card today featuring products from THIS release.

I started by die-cutting THIS scalloped die from kraft card stock and blue card stock. I stamped THIS background stamp on top of the kraft piece using white pigment ink. I cut the blue scalloped piece into a strip and adhered it in the center of the card. I cut a smaller white scalloped piece from the same scalloped die set and stamped the bird, branch, and sentiment from THIS stamp set. I colored in the images with Copic markers and finished off the design with a few white pearls.

To create a card using the shaped die, I die-cut another scallop piece from heavyweight white card stock and scored a line towards the top. I applied adhesive only above that line and adhered the kraft piece on top. The scored line creates a hinge for the card to open. You can do this with any of your shaped dies.

Here’s a closer look…

I also stamped that same background on the flap of a blue envelope using a navy ink to tie everything together…

I hope this inspires you to use your basic shape dies to create a shaped card.

Thank you for visiting. Have a great day!
