Gina K. Designs STAMPtember 2020 Collaboration

*ETA: The stamp set has already sold out! I’m linking to the stamp and die set combo that is still available at this time.

Hello, crafty friends. Simon Says Stamp just released a new exclusive STAMPtember collaboration. This time it’s THIS elegant Gina K. stamp set…

I started by creating a gatefold card card base. I started with an 8.5 x 4.5 piece of white card stock and scored at 2 1/8 inch from each end. I cut two panels from THIS specialty card stock to fit on the front flaps. I clear heat embossed one of the larger images from THIS stamp set on top of the panels. I love the look it gives. It looks like etched metal. Here’s a closer look…

I silver heat embossed the snowflakes and a sentiment from the same stamp set. I used THIS banner to die-cut the sentiment and THIS circle set to die-cut the snowflakes. I added a larger banner with THIS same specialty card stock pack under the sentiment and used it as a mat for the gatefold card. I adhered everything to a 4.75 x 5 inch piece of white card stock.

When creating a gatefold card, make sure to adhere any element that ends up in the center crease to only one side. You don’t want to glue the card shut. I adhered the sentiment banner only on the right side…

I also created a coordinating envelope, leaving room for the recipient’s address…

I hope this inspires you to try creating a gatefold card and to heat emboss on metallic/specialty papers.

Thanks so much for visiting. I appreciate support.

Happy STAMPtember!
