Send Happiness Release Blog Hop

Hello, crafty friends. I’m excited to be a part of this blog hop celebrating THIS new release from Simon Says Stamp.

I started by creating a side fold A2 size black card base. From the front panel of the card, I trimmed 2 inches off the top, creating a shorter flap. This flap was created so the fairy image could be suspended. I stamped and colored the front and back fairy image from THIS stamp set and used THESE coordinating dies to cut them out. I like that this stamp set includes the back of the image as well. These would make fantastic spinner cards where the image spins around to see both sides, but I wanted to share a simple card idea that can be used with front and back images like this.

I created a black and white background piece for the front panel using the flowers and butterfly images from the same stamp set. I stamped a coordinating sentiment and added a few strips of card stock on the top of the front panel for a finishing look. After the front fairy image was adhered to the front panel, I opened the card and adhered the back image of the fairy directly behind the first image….

I finished off the card with THESE sequins.

I have another card to share. This one is the exact same design, just with a different color combo…

I hope you give this unique card flap design a try.

How smart of the stamp company to do a back and front fairy so she can be hung off a card like this.
