Personalizing Cards

Hello, crafty friends. One of my favorite things to do is personalize a card for the person I’m sending it to. I’ve got five ideas to share, so let’s get started.

IDEA #1- PERSONALIZE WITH SOMETHING THAT IS UNIQUE TO THEM

For the first example, I created this card for my friend Jeff. He has a show on YouTube HERE called Craft Cocktails so I created a card to match his logo. (P.S. It’s a fabulous show. You have to check it out!)

To create the card, I started by die-cutting a martini glass from red and gray card stock (the die is from Picket Fence Studios). I cut the center from the gray one and cut a solid triangle from the red one. I adhered them down to a white card base that I stamped a sentiment on using THIS and THIS stamp set. I also added a bit of THIS for a fun splatter background.

I adhered the panel on a black note card. I stamped the envelope flap to coordinate using sentiments from THIS and THIS stamp set.

IDEA #2- PERSONALIZE WITH THEIR HOBBY, INTEREST, FAVORITE COLOR

The next card I created for my friend’s son. He’s a teenager and is into cubing…

I used THIS stamp set and THIS coordinating die for the sentiment and cut squares from colored card stock to create a rubix cube look.

IDEA #3- PERSONALIZE WITH PHOTOS

The next card was an interactive card I created for my parent’s 50th wedding anniversary. They loved the photos!

You can find out much more about this card HERE.

IDEA #4- PERSONALIZE AN IMAGE TO MAKE IT LOOK LIKE THEM

I stamped THIS image and colored it to look like the recipient. I matched her hair color and even a close match to a dress she owns.

IDEA#5 PERSONALIZE WITH THEIR NAME

This examples shows how I personalized the card with the name of my boss’s event, but you could replicate the design with a person’s name for their birthday.

You can find all the information on this card HERE.

I hope this inspires you to try one of these ideas to personalize the next card you create.

Thank you for joining me today. Happy crafting!
