Crafty Hugs Release Blog Hop-Day 1

Hello, crafty friends. I’m so happy to be part of this blog hop celebrating THIS new release from Simon Says Stamp…

To create these cards, I started by applying ink through THIS and THIS stencil with THIS ink.

For this card…

After inking it with yellow, I laid the stencil back down, shifted it slightly and applied THIS color of ink. Where the yellow and blue overlap, you get green…

For the next card…

I did the same process but applied THIS color on top of the yellow. Where the yellow and pink overlap, you get orange…

I finished off the card with THIS die-cut sentiment. I cut the words from black card stock and the shadow from THIS vellum.  Vellum is great to use on busy backgrounds to help soften them and bring attention to the sentiment.

I hope this inspires you to try some stencil shifting. It’s so easy and stretches the look of your stencils.

I have quite a collection of stencils, but I still look to add more as the stencils are so versatile. I like the look of these stencils as blank sections of the card front can be seen. What a contrast. Your cards are very eye-catching and colorful. Thank you for sharing your creativity.
