Sunny Days Ahead Release Blog Hop

Hi, crafty friends. I’m so excited to be part of the Sunny Days Ahead Release Blog Hop celebrating THIS new release. I’ve created two cards from one background image…

I started by heat embossing THIS background image on to THIS card stock using THIS embossing powder. I started with a 6 x 6 sheet of card stock so I could get the entire background image. I colored in the image with THESE markers and cut it in half so I could have two pieces for two cards. I added a gold mat to the edges of the panels using THIS card stock. I used the same card stock as well as white and black to die-cut THIS word. I adhered the die-cut word on the panel as well as THESE printed black sentiment strips.

Here’s a closer look…

I stamped the same background stamp on the flap of the envelopes to tie everything together.

I hope this inspires you to stamp the entire 6×6 image from your background stamps and make two cards.

The bright colors used to watercolor all the flowers in the background stamp image paired with the bold black & white die cut “Mama” and sentiment strip makes for a crisp and clean design, and the tone on tone use of the same background stamp used on the envelope flap to match is the perfect compliment.

Your cards make me smile 🙂 I like the ‘field’ of different colored tulips, and the bits of gold are nice. Thank you for linking to the trio of cards you made previously; I may have missed them otherwise! Lovely cards and the coordinating card stock along the bottom of each is just right. 😀
