More Sunny Days Ahead Release Inspiration

Howdy, crafty friends. I’m back with more inspiration using THIS new release from Simon Says Stamp. I have a fun interactive card to share using my favorite stamp set from the release…

I started by die-cutting THIS die from a white card stock panel measuring 4 x 5 inches. I created a card base in the same size. I masked off the center rectangle with THIS tape and applied various blue shades of Distress Oxide Inks. I spritzed some water on top with THIS and stamped a few clouds in the background once it was completely dry using THIS stamp set. I also stamped the large cloud image and cut it out. I adhered it to the sliding window. Make sure to only apply glue below the center line that is scored or your window will not be able to stand up to reveal the inside. I used the smiley face image and masked off the parts to turn it into a sad face on the cloud. I added some of THESE water droplet embellishments for rain. I stamped a sentiment from the same stamp set along the bottom and adhered a 3 1/4 x 5 inch white piece to the back bottom of that sliding window.

On the card base, I stamped the sunshine/rainbow image and colored it with Copic Markers. I added foam tape along the sides of the sliding window piece and added it on top. I stamped the pull sentiment from the same stamp set on a blue die-cut circle and adhered it to the top. When you pull the tab, the rainbow is revealed…

THIS interactive die is my favorite to use because it’s so simple but gives a big impact. I hope this has inspired you to try an interactive card.
