Hi there, crafty friends. I’m in love with the new alcohol ink colors from Ranger and I’ve been experimenting with them creating backgrounds…
I applied a few alcohol inks with THIS blending solution on to THIS yupo paper to create a background. I used THIS tool to blow the ink around and mx the color. While it was still wet, I rubbed a piece of THIS over it. Any spot that was sticky from the ink grabs the foil and leaves a shine.
I die-cut it using THIS die and adhered it to one of THESE note cards. I die-cut THIS happy birthday die from THIS card stock for the shadow and THIS foil card stock for the words. I added extra layers under for dimension.
Here’s a closer look…
Such a simple card but with lots of impact from the alcohol inks.
Thanks for visiting. Have a great day.

I love this card! I especially love the how you did the happy birthday die. I haven’t tried the foil yet – still so foreign to me. But your card has me thinking I ought to look into it. It’d also be a great way for me to use my alcohol inks that I never use. I just love everything about your card! Thanks for sharing and so glad I discovered your site from the SSS blog hop. (I won a GC, btw, from leaving a comment on your blog! Yay!) Thanks again!

Hi, Anne. Thanks so much for the kind words. I’m happy to hear it inspired you. I plan on making several of these style cards to use up all my alcohol ink backgrounds. Congrats on the GC. Happy Shopping! 🙂
