Hi, crafty friends. I’m back today with a card featuring a string art background using THIS die…
I die-cut THIS string art rectangle on a white panel and strung colored embroidery floss through the holes. I stared diagonally from the two opposite ends with one color, finished the other half with another color, and added some pink going in the opposite direction. The string art creates such a fun, textured background…
I stamped the cute kitty and tree from THIS stamp set and colored it with Copic markers. I die-cut the image using THESE coordinating dies. I also die-cut a few more from white card stock and adhered behind the image for dimension. I adhered the image to the center of the background and added a stamped sentiment from the same stamp set below. I finished off the design with some of THIS on the ornaments for some shine.
Here’s a closer look…
I hope this inspires you to create a quick and easy string art background. If you don’t have the string art die, no worries. Look through your stash to see if you have any dies that pierces holes. You can also create your own with one of THESE.
Thanks so much for stopping by. Happy crafting!
