Hello, crafty friends. I’m back today with a card that features a subtle stenciled background…
To create the background, I started by blending a few Distress Oxide inks in the same color family on a piece of THIS paper. I sprayed THIS on the back of THIS stencil to make it sticky and laid it on top of the inked piece. I applied THIS ink on top with one of THESE. After removing the stencil, I heat set it since it’s a pigment ink. The white ink gives a soft look on top of the graphic pattern showing through the open areas.
For the sentiment, I decided to add several of THESE sentiment strips. Multiple sheets come in one pack and they are printed in toner so you could foil them, but I decided to leave them black and white to coordinate with THIS image that I left black and white. I added some of THESE sequins to finish off the card design.
I created an envelope to match and stamped THIS background stamp on the flap as well as a sentiment from THIS stamp set.
I hope this inspires you to create a subtle stenciled background using white pigment ink.
Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a great day.
