Cards for Crafty Friends

Hello. The majority of the cards I send out is for fellow crafters (a.k.a. my tribe). I’ve had some fun crafty themed products sitting on my desk for awhile and wanted to use them to create a few interactive cards for my crafty friends…

I started by die-cutting THIS die from THIS fun foam. I used it as a stamp that I temporarily adhered inside my MISTI. I inked it up with several colors of Hero Arts Bold inks. I used the mini cubes so it would be easier to ink up all the small areas. Once it was inked up, I stamped it on a few panels of white card stock.

I die-cut the stamped panels with THIS die and adhered a piece of white card stock (measuring 3.25 x 5) to the bottom of the sliding window on the back side. I decorated the front of the sliding panel with images from THIS stamp set. I applied adhesive only at the bottom of the images so it would stand up when the top tab is pulled. I stamped sentiments from THIS, THIS, and THIS stamp set. I adhered the panel on to a note card using THIS foam tape. I like to apply THIS to the die-cut piece to make it easier to slide.

Speaking of the pull tab, I die-cut a circle from THIS die set and stamped icons from THIS and THIS stamp set as well as the “pull” from THIS stamp set. When you pull the tab, the window slides up to reveal a panel stamped with THIS stamp set (which is hard to see in the photo). It’s a great place to place a gift card or write a message.

I have a bonus card for you. I didn’t want the inked up foam piece to go to waste so I adhered it to a note card covered with a panel stamped with THIS background. I adhered a sentiment in the center of the card from THIS stamp set. I also stamped envelopes for all the cards using the same background stamp and a sentiment from THIS stamp set.

I hope this inspires you to create some cards for your crafty friends.

Thanks for stopping by. Happy Crafting!
