Pop of Color

Hi there, crafty friends. THIS new release from Simon Says Stamp is now available and I have a card share featuring some of the new product…

I stamped THIS background using black ink on white card stock. I left it uncolored so that when I added THESE colorful butterflies on top, they would pop. I stamped the butterflies on to a leftover alcohol inked background from another project. I used THIS ink and fussy cut them out. I adhered them with foam tape for some dimension. For the butterfly antennas, I used a black sharpie to color some white floral wire. I finished off the card by adding a white heat embossed sentiment from THIS set. The card measures 5×5.

Here’s a closer look at the alcohol inked butterflies…

I wasn’t happy with that piece as a whole but kept it and it works great to stamp smaller images on. Always keep those backgrounds that you’re not happy with and use parts of them on a future project.

Thanks for visiting today. I’ve linked to the new release below as well as supplies used on today’s card.
