Hi there, crafty friends. Today’s cards features a quick and easy technique for making backgrounds…
I don’t use my acrylic paints nearly enough so I broke them out and applied drops of color in a line at the top of a piece of white card stock. I used an old gift card and starting at the top, I applied pressure and swiped the paint straight down, creating a fun striped pattern. Once it was dry, I heat embossed a sentiment from THIS stamp set in the lower, right hand corner of each card. I die-cut THIS flower die several times from white and black card stock and adhered them together to give it dimension. I also applied THIS ink on top and added clear embossing powder on top to give it some shine. I repeated this process three times.
Here’s a closer look…
I hope you give this simple technique a try. It’s so fun.
As always, thanks for stopping by and visiting. Your support means so much to me.
