Pearl Alcohol Inks

Hello, crafty friends. I recently purchased the new pearl alcohol inks and I’m officially obsessed with them. I experimented and created some backgrounds that I turned into three cards…

For the first card…

I applied a rainbow of colors on THIS Yupo paper, overlapping each color a bit creating new colors in between. I added THESE alphabet dies to create a custom sentiment and added another sentiment from THIS stamp set. I die-cut THIS vellum heart and added a sprinkling of THESE. The card measurement is 5×7.

For the second card…

I die-cut THESE dies from a similar background as the first card and then added some of THIS on top by shaking drops on to it. It gives some really fun texture. I adhered the flowers on a diagonal with THIS strong tape on to a piece of black card stock. I white heat embossed a sentiment from THIS stamp set. I finished off the card by adding THIS to the centers of the flowers.

For the last card…

I experimented by adding drops of the pearl alcohol inks on THIS black card stock. I was surprised of how vivid the colors were after drying. I die-cut the piece with THIS circle die as well as a vellum circle. I adhered THIS paintbrush to the vellum circle along with a sentiment from THIS stamp set. I finished off the card with THESE.

To recap, here are 3 ideas to try with the Pearl Alcohol inks…

1. Try creating a background that overlaps with each color creating new colors in between. THIS tool is helpful in moving the colors with bursts of air.

2. Try die-cutting from pieces that didn’t turn out. Use the parts that you like and die-cut shapes from those areas.

3. Try applying the pearl alcohol inks to regular black card stock. It gives beautiful results that you couldn’t achieve with regular alcohol inks.

Also, I recently shared on Instagram HERE that you can apply these inks to THESE boards to create fun home decor.

I hope this has inspired you to try these pearl alcohol inks. The shimmer they give is gorgeous.

Thanks for visiting and have a great day.
