Marbled Background Hearts

Hi, crafty friends. Today’s cards feature THIS background stamp from Concord & 9th…

I’m a big fan of Concord & 9th’s turnabout stamps. They recently released THIS turnabout tool kit that makes the turnabout stamps easier to use. The turnabouts stamps now come with a guide that make is super easy to line it up. I used the guide to line up the marbled background in my MISTI and stamped it with a variety of Distress Oxide inks, rotating the paper with each color. I like to use Distress Oxide inks with these kind of stamps because they are easy to clean off the stamp in between color changes because of their pigment properties.

After the ink was dry, I die-cut the panels using THIS heart die. I also die-cut two extra hearts for the card bases. I scored the top of those hearts and added adhesive above the line and adhered the background hearts on top.

For the sentiment, I die-cut THIS thanks word 6 times from white card stock. I adhered three on top of each other for each card. I also die-cut the word shadow from colored card stock and a smaller heart for the sentiment to sit on. I white heat embossed a sentiment from THIS stamp set on the smaller heart. I finished off the cards by adding a thick coat of THIS on top of the die-cut words.

I hope this inspires you to try out the turnabout stamps. They are so fun to use.

Thanks for joining me today. Happy crafting!
