Hi there, crafty friends. Today’s cards feature a fun die-cutting technique…
I like to die-cut from a stamped pattern and have the die-cut word or image be camouflaged in the design. I shared a post about that technique HERE and HERE. This time I wanted the die-cut word to stand out a bit more so I created a drop shadow with fun foam behind the word.
After stamping the fruit images from THIS stamp set, I die-cut THIS, THIS, and THIS word from the panel. I inlaid a piece of black fun foam in the word opening and adhered the die-cut word on top, but slightly offset, creating a drop shadow. I finished off the cards by adding a white heat embossed sentiment from the same stamp set and rounding the bottom corners with THIS.
Here’s a closer look..
I hope this has inspired you to try this technique. It’s a great way to have a die-cut word stand out against a busy background.
Thanks for stopping by today. Happy crafting!
