Simon Says Stamp December 2018 Card Kit

Hi there, crafty friends. I’m back today with three Christmas cards using THIS new card kit from Simon Says Stamp…

I love the shine of the envelopes included in the kit so I die-cut them using THIS die and used them as the background paper for all three cards. I added them to a piece of white card stock to add a bit of stability. Also, I used the small images in the stamp to create a background on each card.

To create the first card…

I stamped the adorable Santa image from THIS stamp set that is included in the kit and colored him with Copic Markers. After cutting him out, I adhered him down to a red background that I stamped repeatedly with a small dot cluster image using THIS white ink. I used THIS pen to add the black details and stamped a greeting from the stamp set.

For the second card…

I stamped, Copic colored, and cut out the sign image from the stamp set and adhered it to a background stamped with the snowflake images using the same white ink. I die-cut the panel with the same stitched rectangle die and added THIS for some snow. I added a snow bank hill created from THIS die and THIS glitter paper. I adhered the piece to a card created with THIS card stock.

For the last card…

I stamped, Copic colored, and cut out the tree image from the stamp set and added a rainbow of Nuvo drops for the lights. I added THIS on top of the star for some shine and added a sentiment from the set. I created a rainbow background by stamping the tiny star image repeatedly with a variety of inks. I adhered the entire piece to a note card made with THIS card stock.

I hope this inspires you to create a background using the small images in a stamp set and use specialty envelopes in a different way.
