Hello, crafty friends. Picket Fence has a new release and I have a couple of cards using some of their new products…
I love the coffee theme of the products and wanted to create cards that would hold a coffee gift card. For the first card…
I started by stamping the background with THIS stamp. I stamped it once and then rotated the paper in my MISTI one turn and stamped again. Instead of a stripe background, I ended up with a plaid background. It’s a great way to stretch the look of your stamps. I colored in some of the squares and die-cut THIS in the center to create a window. I stamped a sentiment from THIS stamp set on a piece of vellum and adhered it behind the opening. I adhered the whole piece to a card with the same die-cut window. I stamped, colored, and cut out the girl from the stamp set and adhered it next to the window.
The window shares a peek at the gift card inside…
For the second card…
I created a background with a variety of Distress Oxide inks. I stamped a sentiment from THIS stamp set along the bottom. I stamped, colored, and cut out THIS image. I adhered it to the background by applying THIS to the top and bottom on the back, leaving the center open for the gift card to slide through…
I hope this has inspired you to create card that presents a gift card in a unique way.
Thanks so much for joining me today.
P.S. There are lots more goodies in the release. I’ve linked to them below as well as the supplies used on this card…
