Stencil Stamping Good Luck Card

Hello, crafty friends. Today’s card uses new goodies from Simon Says Stamp’s STAMPtember release…

I started by inking up THIS stencil with a few Distress Oxide Ink colors. I wasn’t loving the background I created through the stencil so I changed gears and sprayed the stencil with water. It reacted with the ink left on the stencil and I flipped it over and “stamped” it on another piece of card stock. After it was dry, I die-cut it using THIS die.

I cut THIS die for the sentiment. I cut the main part using white card stock three times and adhered the layers together. I covered it in THIS ink and heat embossed it three times using THIS embossing powder to create a thick embellishment. I cut the shadow using black card stock. I white heat embossed a coordinating sentiment from the set and gold heat embossed a few clovers. I finished off the card by adding a black card stock mat around the background and adhered it to a card created with THIS card stock.

I hope this inspires you to stamp with the leftover ink on your stencil to create a fun background.

Thanks for joining me today. Happy crafting!
