Adding Layers with Acetate

Howdy, crafty friends. Today’s card shares how to add an unexpected layer to a card using acetate.

I started by creating the panel on the inside. I stamped THIS background stamp using a few colors of Distress Spray Stains. I sprayed them on to THIS mat added a bit of water and then painted the color on the background stamp that was placed in the MISTI. I dried it with my heat gun and sprayed it heavily with THIS for some sparkle and shine.

I adhered it to the inside panel using THIS strong adhesive. I cut another piece of white card stock to the exact same size and adhered it to the back of the card to hide the adhesive that was showing.

I stamped the front of the acetate card with a sentiment from THIS stamp set using THIS ink. I die-cut THIS turtle and adhered him to the front of the card. I cut another one and adhered it on the inside of the card to hide the adhesive.

A closer look…

I hope this inspires you to try adding layers with acetate.

Thanks so much for joining me today. Happy Crafting!
