Handmade Postcards

Hi there. Today’s post is all about creating handmade postcards…

Sometimes it’s fun to switch it up and create something different than a standard size card. Summertime is the perfect time to create some postcards to take with you on vacation and send out when you’re there.

To create a postcard, I cut down a piece of card stock to 4×6. I stamped a few images from THIS stamp set and colored it in with Copics. I stamped a sentiment from THIS stamp and created a black border with a Sharpie. Here’s a closer look…

Another idea is to pre stamp a bunch of vacation images and let your kids color them during travel time. I shared that idea on THIS blog post.

However, you can also make postcards with any theme…

I created this one for a friends simply to make them smile. I used the sun image from THIS adorable stamp set. I added THIS and THIS pen for the details.

For the back, I like to stamp an image down the middle so I have a clear space to put the message and for the recipient’s address…

The post office has guidelines to follow that you can read about HERE.

I hope this has inspired you to create some handmade postcards.

Thanks so much for joining me today. Have an awesome day.

Wonderful idea! And so much more personal than a postcard you buy when you are there. If only I were that organised!
