Easy Foiled Background

Hello, crafty friends. Today’s card shows how to create an easy foiled background using new goodies from THIS release…

I die-cut THIS new background die using THIS Minc paper. This paper is designed to take foil when heated with the MINC machine. I popped out all of the center pieces since some of them already fell out when running it through the die-cut machine. I placed THIS foil on top (pretty side facing up), placed it inside the carrier sheet, and ran it through THIS MINC machine on setting 4.

After removing the foil, the inside design of the background was left on the foil. I didn’t want that to go to waste so I placed it on top of the same Minc paper and ran it through the MINC machine. It’s the piece on the right…

You could definitely use this piece for another card, but I decided to adhere it behind the first foil piece after placing a die-cut piece of fun foam in between.

I die-cut THIS word three times from white card stock and adhered it to the vellum shadow die. I like that the die-cut word comes with the word and shadow. I white heat embossed a sentiment from THIS stamp set on a strip of black card stock. I adhered the entire piece to one of THESE note cards.

I hope this inspires you to try a foiled background. I love the shine it gives.

Thanks for joining me today. Happy Crafting!
